The fine balance between faith and humanity

Nothing should stand between you and God. No imams, priests, rabbis or any other custodians of moral or religious leadership. Not spiritual masters and not even your faith. Believe in your values and your rules, but never lord them over others. If you keep breaking other people’s hearts, whatever religious duty you perform is no good. Stay away from all sorts of idolatry, for they will blur your vision. Let God and only God be your guide. Learn the Truth, my friend, but be careful not to make a fetish out of your truths.

It’s a myth that people spreading terror belong to the illiterate and poverty stricken stratum of our society. – Look at all the big daddies of the terror world, the Orlando shooter, the Dhaka miscreants.

It’s a myth that people of a particular religion has suddenly become intolerant towards another religion. – Look how Baghdad and Istanbul and Syria are counting their dead.

Education, religion, certain countries are mere eye washes. The problem is far more deep rooted. The problem is the power mongers. The problem is the astonishing decline in empathy of the human race. The problem is the theory of absolution. The problem is ignorance. What we have brought onto us is genocide, and it has been built on a foundation of a stubborn belief that there is only one way- So one can only be straight, one can only be a Shia so on and so forth.

If humanity was not at the brink of extinction (as has been predicted), it would have come to me as a surprise.
